Mobile Black Belt
Gracie Barra is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu organization, with more than 200 schools across the world. Their mission is to train the body, mind, and spirit through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction.
Roberto Cuartero, owner of Gracie Barra in Jacksonville, FL reached out to us with the goal of developing a revolutionary NoGi training video course to be placed on Mobile Black Belt’s mobile app.
The course would consist of two separate sessions, each with up to 30 different techniques with sets and repetitions.
Everything was shot at their training facility in Jacksonville
Custom Motion Graphics were built
We shot two NoGi Skill Builder Series, each featuring thirty techniques with sets and repetitions to be completed with a partner. The videos were shot in multiple angles, to provide the student with different visual perspectives of each technique.
For added convenience, slow motion was used in post-production, allowing the student to replay and fully understand each movement. We also added a voice over to compliment the visuals and give a step by step narration of how to perform the techniques. To top it all off, we created a dynamic motion graphics package to match the look and feel of the brand, and gave it a dramatic color grading treatment.
